This very first entry marks the beginning of our journey to London.
It’s been a week, so what have we been up to since we bid goodbyes?
Let’s go back to last Sunday
After 14hrs of in-flight entertainment, babies crying, sleeping, babies crying, eating, babies crying, sleeping…
Finally, we arrive in London Heathrow airport

Day 2 – House-hunting

all set to go~!
It’s a good way to see London while you are on the bus. From city landmarks to a mixed of foreigners living in the suburbs, you get to see it all. Sometimes, we are quite clueless as to where we are heading but thanks to the regular announcements on the bus and by asking around we manage to get to our destination. One thing good about London buses other than the announcement is, you only need to tap once when you board the bus as compare to tapping in and out in Sg. Think the first time we were really kuku and we tapped twice! Oh well, we learnt our lesson.
The first day of hunting wasn’t very fruitful. The places that we viewed wasn’t really to our liking. Location wise we felt it was pretty far from the tube and were over priced. Fortunately on the 2nd day we saw a post on gumtree of a very nice double room at an attic! wow.. we quickly called the advertiser to enquire if the room was available… IT WAS~! Immediately we made an appointment to view the house.
The trip there wasn’t very far as it was only a few tube stops to Stratford and the landlord offered to pick us up at the tube. The neighbourhood was pretty nice and peaceful, just 30 sec from the main road with rows of shops to our convenience. The attic was LOVELY… but jon said in the long run, climbing up and down those tiny spiral staircase will cause us to have tons of inconvenience… sigh~so sad.
The landlord offered another room on the 2nd floor, which was pretty big and looks relatively new. The rent is slightly more expensive than the attic but still considered reasonable. It has a big kitchen, a garden, and bathroom with bathtub. Overall it was quite good, so we decided to take it!
Here are just some random pictures we took!
