We wanted to explore Italy as much as possible and since the town of Siena is pretty close to Florence and its one of the most visited tourist attractions, we decided to make a day trip there. From the beautiful and romantic town of Florence, we took a bus to the gothic town of Siena.
The Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre del Mangia. Apparently it snowed a couple of days ago thats why there is a layer of snow.
Yee and the 'Fountain of Joy' at the Piazza del Campo
There was a long queue for the freshly made hot donuts!
Bon appetite! woot~!
The Cathedral of Siena
From the top of the hill you can see the Church of San Domenico in the distance.
Outside by the Church of San Domenico
The impressive landscape of Siena with the Cathedral situated right at the top...
We will head back to Florence and will be taking the train the next morning to our final destination in Italy… Rome and the Vatican City!
Cheers!
