The next day we got up early, packed our stuff and made our way to the main train station in Interlaken for our ride to Geneva. Along the way we passed by shops selling swiss made watches, tempted as we are to get a pair, in a practical sense we knew that the moolahs would be better off funding our travels instead.
Upon reaching Geneva, we headed to the harbour where the magnificent Jet d’Eau and Lake Geneva can be sighted. The Jet d’Eau is one of the city’s most famous landmarks and it truly is a sight to behold. With so much water shooting so high up in the sky, we were crossing our fingers and hoped if we were lucky enough to chance upon a rainbow! Unfortunately it was only our wishful thinking! Haha…
Soon it was time to board our cruise to Lausanne (the French speaking city of Switzerland) and catch a connecting train to Paris. Cruising across Lake Geneva, the boat will dock at several lakeside towns (picking up and dropping off passengers) before we disembark at Lausanne.
Thats all for Switzerland, next up Paris!
