Railing thru Europe: Stop 6.2 France – Paris Disneyland~!
“To Infinity…and Beyond!” I’m sure many of you would have heard that phrase from Tim Allen’s character Buzz Lightyear in Disney’s Toy Story, but in french? Oui Oui…
We took the 40 mins Suburban train ride to reach the town of Marne-la-Vallée where Paris Disneyland is located. Along the way we could see many families carrying all sorts of disney merchandise and one family of 4 (dad, mom, son and daughter) in particular, had a huge collection of disney collectible badges pinned all over themselves. It really is heart-warming to see the family so attached to their inner-child that you cannot differentiate who is the child and who is the adult!

As this is my first time to Disneyland (Yee has already been to the ones in California and Tokyo), needless to say i was really hyped up to be here and can't wait to soak up the atmosphere.
Disneyland Paris comprises of two theme parks - Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland Park. We headed to Walt Disney Studios first as it closes earlier than Disneyland Park

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - One of our most 'memorable' rides ever. Just imagine, 1 second the lift door opens and you are greeted with an aerial view of the theme park but before you even catch your breath, the lift plunges down 170ft amidst screams of people around you
As we were leaving, we heard an announcement that there will be a Disney’s All Star Parade coming up, with Disney characters in their fancy vehicles. The atmosphere was great as we saw many memorable characters like Aladdin and the Little Mermaid. There’s even one for the villains!

We were just in time to see the stage performance by the ‘New Generation’ of Disney Stars – Toy Story, Lilo & Stitch, The Incredibles, Monster’s Inc, Ratatouille and the newest member of the family, The Princess and the Frog.

Leaving Disneyland is certainly not something anyone would look forward to, but as the saying goes, “All good things must come to an end” and we have to move on. We still have places to go, things to do. Who knows if we will be back but till then, Disneyland Paris will always be a fond memory. Next stop, Amsterdam.
