The spectacular train journey of the Oslo to Bergen railway brings us to the city famous for the Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, the Fish Market, and surrounding mountains and fjords, such as the Hardangerfjord and Sognefjord. Unfortunately, we only have time to explore the city centre and would need to be back to take the overnight train back to Oslo to save on accomodations. That’s the problem when you’re facing with expensive lodging and a limited time frame. You want to linger on longer when its beautiful and all but can’t afford to splurge as you want to stretch your savings and travel to more places. Hell, we would even be thinking of visiting ‘Hell’! Yes…you read it right… Hell is a small village in northern Norway which has become a popular tourist attraction because of its name! haha…
Here’s a video of the funicular ride to Mount Fløyen (Fløyfjellet):
Fun with lambs…Check this out:
After saying our goodbyes to Scandinavia, we braced ourselves as we will be heading south to Hamberg (Germany) via Oslo (Norway) via Göteborg (Sweden) via Copenhagen (Denmark)… Whew!
