Every December, hundreds of Santa dress-alike would gather for “When You Wish Upon A Star’s Great Scottish Santa Run”, to help a good cause for sick children throughout Scotland. Eventually, 400 children would get their wishes to meet Father Christmas in Lapland. This year, despite unfavorable weather conditions, hundreds of families and friends dressed in Santa and Elf costumes still took part to give their support at West Princes Street Gardens, this time walking the 1.5km circuit instead of running due to icy grounds. In the midst of it all, we heard from the announcer that there was a Japanese lady from Osaka who flew all the way just to attend this event! She came here last year and was so impressed by it that subsequently when she returned home, she started her own “Great Santa Run “event. Kudos to her!
